| FAREEQ EL ATRASH |
Fareeq el Atrash started out as a free jam collective in Beirut several years ago, but it is now a hip hop band with a sound that is distinguished by a laid back, topical flow over live instrumentation. The main conspirators behind this project have been (as of the last three or so years) Edouard Abbas (rhymes) and John Imad Nasr (beats). Their debut album (still unreleased at the moment) features contributions from like-minded funky individuals Goo (guitars), Samer Zaghir (percussions, keys), Fayez Zouheiry (beatboxing), Fuad Zakka (tenor sax), and several other dear friends. MC Nasr aka ( Schino ) joined recently and At the moment, we are working on our second album. Hope you enjoy the music.
