HEROES & VILLAINS / COSMIC ANALOG ENSEMBLE

COSMIC ANALOG ENSEMBLE

Founded in 2008, the Ensemble consists of Charif Megarbane on all instruments. The result is what one could call analogue music for the 21st century: gritty free-jazz, soul soundtracks, cinematic beats and cosmic vibes straight from the tape.

The Ensemble released Concrete Abstract: The Mundane and the Cosmic Vol.1-2 in late 2008. The album features 31 tracks, recorded in Lebanon and Canada. It was followed in 2009 by the first three volumes of the Infants-Children-Teenagers-Adults-Elders series in 2009. The project was recorded on 4-track cassette and reflects the Trojan-reggae side of the Ensemble.

Navigations Nocturnes: The Mundane and the Cosmic Vol. 5-6 was released in April 2011. The next two volumes will come out later this year.
